Tired of neighbours complaining regarding your dog barking and howling all night long? Or you can’t concentrate at work for the reason of lack of sleep credited to the dog’s nightly serenade? Dog barking problems don’t seem to be uncommon, simply like there are inidividuals who cannot stop talking. Primarily a dog barks to speak and express its feelings. Learning how to discern the barks, relate these with the dog’s body language signals and situations the dog is experiencing will ease several of the dog barking problems.

Barks that are followed by whimpering sounds may indicate that he’s hungry, needs to go out to potty or needs to play with you. Addressing his wants should stop dog from barking but sometimes specific behaviours cause your dog to bark.

Example of excessive barking is when the dog feels apprehension or frightened. Loud noises like those in thunder storms or construction noises may trigger apprehension and result to dog barking problems. Since barking is his sole means of communicating he’s frightened, in the role of owner, you’re compelled to ease his fear by situating him within a place where the noise is muted. Places with closed windows or a basement are ideal. But do not make an effort to cuddle her or him to alleviate the fear, because the dog may assume the barking may be a positive action.

So as to prevent your dog from barking excessively, it helps  to know your pet first, study his breed, what possible personality he might have or may develop. Observing his behavioural pattern with you, other individuals or various dogs is one step to avoid dog barking problems, come together these with a few tricks and treats. Others resort to dog lessons or dog licensed trainers, however it’s suitable to resolve these problems with you at the helm of it, asserting your position of being master or Alpha male or female.
