Grooming Day

It is early morning and time to get up!!! It is grooming day for Rusty and Chloe so off in the car we go.. For some reason they seem very restless on the way there and he keeps on making grunting noises and she shakes continuously.

When we get there Rin starts talking to them and she quickly takes control of the situation and they are immediately at ease. Chloe has the most fantastic hair that you can easily brush and no knotting. Rusty on the other hand has the worst hair EVER…. I have to brush him carefully and he does’nt want me to brush his stomach so the hair knots. This is what is so amazing about Rin as she has cards for them keeping track of how they react every time and she does not force them to do anything that they don’t want to do. They get washed and both get haircuts. Chloe prefers the scissors and for Rusty she uses the shaver. It amazes me that she has absolutely no problem in cutting their hair. Chloe does’nt mind having her nails cut but apparently Rusty gets completely out of hand when any one attempts to go near his feet. So we have to walk on the road to slate his nails cos no one is going to cut his nails. No need to put him through a bad experience as I would prefer them to enjoy going to the parlour..

What amazes me more than anything else is how at ease they are when I arrive there and they are all in little cages and neither Rusty nor Chloe have a problem being around other dogs. Rusty gets his hair cut short and Chloe gets a trim.. They seem extremely calm when they come back from the parlour and I think they enjoy the experience.

Rusty does sulk for at least two days and keeps hiding under his blanket as I think he feels a bit naked. (Definitely not cold as it is around 36 degrees daily at the moment).

It is Very Clear from the picture that there are some dogs sulking.
